60 involved in street fight Up to 60 people could have been involved in a vicious street fight which is thought to have left one Preston man with serious injuries. Police say witnesses in Darwen saw between 20 and 60 people involved in the brawl, near the town's bus station and the Bridgewater pub, shortly after midnight on Saturday. A 43-year-old man from Preston was left unconscious close to the bus station in Church Street after being assaulted. He was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital with head injuries but was later transferred to the Royal Preston Hospital, where he is stable.
